Q. What is an E Cigarette?

A. The E Cigarette is an electronic device, which imitates a regular cigarette. It is a new way for users of regular tobacco based cigarettes to regulate and control their nicotine intake while in public places.

Q. How does it work?

A. The E Cigarette works in the following way: The user inhales on the electronic cigarette; this causes an air flow sensor to signal to the inbuilt microprocessor, that in turn activates the atomizer. The atomizer converts the liquid nicotine in the cartridge into a vapour (by atomisation), which is digested by the user. Simultaneously, a water based vapour is released from the glycol by the atomiser to resemble smoke. This smoke has no risk to its user or persons around them.

Q. What is in the cartridge?

A. The base liquid of the cartridge is a mixture of liquid-nicotine, tobacco extract flavourings and Propylene glycol. The liquid contains no harmful chemicals, unlike a typical tobacco based cigarette.

Q. What powers the device?

A. A rechargeable lithium battery.

Q. Where does the smoke go?

A. The E Cigarette emits what appears to be smoke, but is actually a harmless vapour mist that evaporates into the air within seconds, not unlike the functioning of a humidifier. The E Cigarette leaves no visual residue in the air, whereas traditional smoking can leave an unsightly, acrid cloud known to irritate eyes and bother peoples senses.

No one under the legal smoking age should use The E Cigarette, and The E Cigarette should not to be sold to persons under the legal smoking age . Additionally, The E Cigarette should not be used by anyone who is pregnant or has health concerns without first consulting the advice of a doctor.
